2014 General Plan and Survey Results
TOWN OF CASTLE VALLEY GENERAL PLAN - Adopted March 19. 2014
The General Plan provides the legal basis for land use ordinances and policy issues and gives long-term guidance for future decision-making. In order to be effective, it should also embody the goals and desires of the community. One of the most important objectives of the Plan is that it attempts to inject long-range consideration into the determination of short-range actions. Day-to-day public and private decisions that guide and create change must be deliberately made with a long-range outlook.

2012 GENERAL PLAN SURVEY RESULTS
In Septemeber 2012 the Planning and Land Use Commission sent out a survey informing recipients that its purpose was to gather infromation from the community as part of the Town's General Plan review and update process, which is done about every five years. Results of the survey are crucial in order to gauge property owners' values and beliefs about land use and growth and what they envision for the future of our Town.
The Town owes a huge thanks to Jeff Fink for his expertise and the many hours of volunteer time spent creating a database, compiling the results of the survey, and creating graphs and tables.
