The Town of Castle Valley is responsible for the maintenance of all of the dirt roads and related drainages within the Town's borders and for the signage for these roads.

The Castle Valley Town Council has designated a Roads Committee to provide direction and set priorities for the maintenance of the Town's roads and related drainages within the framework of the Town's annual budget

The Committee regularly reviews the conditions of the roads and drainages and provides direction to the Roads Department Manager for what work has priority. The Roads Department Manager manages both Town-employed road workers and outside contractors to do the road work.

The Roads Department Manager also determines for residents the sizing of culverts that they may wish to install in their driveway entrances. The property owner pays for the culvert and the Town installs it. Upon request, the Town will clear out culverts that have become filled.
