Castle Valley N2N Neighbor to Neighbor
Castle Valley residents looking to help one another. A grassroots community effort, unaffiliated with the Town. Need help at home for yard work, home maintenance, improvements, and safety? Get the Neighbor Resource List of paid services. 

Mail US Postal Service mailboxes are located at the Town entrance.  Address format is: HC 64 Box #### Castle Valley UT 84532. For a mailbox call the Moab Post Office 435-259-7457. The number of local mailboxes is limited; you can also rent a mailbox at the Post Office in Moab. Note, USPS cannot deliver to a Castle Valley street address.

Delivery UPS & FedEx provide home delivery. It's always best to provide both mail and street addresses. 

Power Rocky Mountain Power (1-888-221-7070) serves Castle Valley.  All new power lines are required to be buried. Power outages are common in Castle Valley, so it's good to be prepared with extra water & lights—your well pump won't work if the power is out.

The best cell phone coverage is with Verizon; even so, cell reception is spotty at best, with texting being slightly more reliable. Many residents use Wi-Fi Calling (consult your provider) or purchase a hardware signal booster.

Water Each property owner is responsible for providing their own water. Castle Valley is situated on a sole source aquifer that is fed by the La Sal Mountains. Most citizens have wells on their property, have a cistern with commercial water delivery, or get drinking water in Moab.

Septic Tanks Private property owners are required to have & maintain their own septic tanks. The Town does not provide wastewater management.

Schools All public schools are in Moab.  Buses are provided for Castle Valley students.

Hospital Moab Regional Hospital (435-259-7197) is 22 miles away. Services include Urgent Care, Emergency Room, general & orthopedic surgical services, primary care physicians, obstetrical services and a wide range of other specialists. For emergencies call 911. More hospitals and specialists are available in Grand Junction, Colorado, 70 miles east on Interstate 70.

Fire  Call 911 to report a fire. Castle Valley has an awesome volunteer fire department (435-259-3655) that operates under Grand County, with 2 fire stations located in the Valley. Fire is a very serious hazard in this desert environment, so prevention is a priority.

Shopping There are no storefront businesses allowed in Castle Valley—gas, groceries, and other amenities are available in Moab. Home businesses are allowed, so some products may be available directly from your neighbors.
